IMPORTANTE!  Nós adicionamos uma conta bancária nos Estados Unidos porque estamos tendo dificuldade de identificar de onde vêm as contribuições na conta do Bank of America, e conseqüentemente não podemos agradecer devidamente os contribuintes.  Uma nova conta foi aberta no Bank Atlantic (abaixo) onde é possivel ver uma cópia dos cheques que são depositados. A conta do Bank of America permanecerá aberta de toda forma para receber quaisquer doações que já estejam a caminho e para aqueles que prefiram esse banco.  Gostariamos de pedir a gentileza das pessoas que já contribuiram e as que planejam contribuir com depósitos bancários para por favor nos notificar pelo e-mail donations@elenyriosnicolini.com para que possamos conferir com o banco.  Também queremos que todos saibam que não estamos comparando quem deu quanto, qualquer valor ajuda, só queremos que vocês saibam que sua contribuição foi recebida, conta, e que agradecemos sua ajuda. IMPORTANT! We have added a new bank account in the United States because we are having trouble identifying people that have contributed to the Bank of America account, and as a result, we have not been able to properly thank them.  A new account was opened at Bank Atlantic (below) where it is possible for us to view a copy of the checks that get deposited. The Bank of America account will remain open in order to receive donations that may be in-route and for those that prefer this bank. We would like to ask those of you that have already contributed and those that plan on contributing with bank deposits to please let us know through the email donations@elenyriosnicolini.com so we can verify it goes to the right place. We also would like everyone to know that we are not keeping tabs on who gives how much, everything helps, we just want to make sure you know your money was received, counts, and that we appreciate your help. Primeiro gostariamos de agradecer a todos vocês que vêm rezando por Eleny. A quantia de carinho e apoio que nós como família temos recebido do mundo inteiro têm sido impressionante. Tem ajudao muito saber que existe tanta gente pensando em Eleny e torcendo por sua melhora. Ela é uma pessoa incrivelmente carinhosa e amorosa e a coisa mais importante do mundo para nós é vê-la bem novamente. Por favor continuem a rezar por ela.

First we would like to thank all of you who have been praying for Eleny. The amount of love and support we as a family have received from all over the world has been astonishing. It has helped tremendously to know there are so many people thinking of Eleny and wishing her well. She is an incredibly caring and loving person and the most important thing in the world to us is to see her well again. Please continue to pray for her.

Alguns de vocês perguntaram sobre os custos da hospitalização. Na hora do incidente, ela estava sem emprego e não tem seguro de saúde, o que nos surpreendeu. A qualidade do tratamento que ela tem recebido é a melhor que poderiamos esperar, mas infelizmente o custo é enorme e precisamos de ajuda. Para aqueles que podem e estão interessados em contribuir financeiramente, uma conta especial foi aberta onde aceitaremos doações de qualquer quantia com o único propósito de ajudar a cobrir as contas médicas, reabilitação, e levá-la de volta para os Estados Unidos.

Aqueles que conhecem Eleny sabem quantas pessoas ela ajudou na vida. Também sabem que a decisão de pedir doações foi extremamente dura, e não a teríamos tomado se não tivéssemos certeza que fosse absolutamente necessária.

A number of you have asked about Eleny's medical costs. At the time of the incident, she was between jobs and had no health coverage, which caught us by surprise. The quality of care she is getting is the very best we could hope for, but unfortunately the costs are enormous and we need help. For those of you who are able and interested in contributing financially, we have set up a special account where we will be accepting donations in any amount with the sole purpose of helping to cover her medical bills, rehabilitation, and getting her back home to the U.S. We are sorry but donations are not tax-deductible at this time.

Those of you who know Eleny know how many people she has helped throughout her life. You also know it has been extremely hard for us to ask for donations, and we definitely would not have asked if we didn't think it was absolutely necessary.
